Traditional "batts" are pre-cut panels designed to fit perfectly between standard wall studs or floor joists.

 

• Fiberglass Batts: The most cost-effective way to insulate open walls during a renovation. They are easy to install and provide reliable thermal resistance when fitted without compression.

• Mineral Wool (Stone Wool): A premium alternative made from volcanic rock. It is virtually fireproof (withstanding temperatures over $1,000$°C), offers world-class soundproofing, and is completely water-repellent.

• Best For: Soundproofing home theaters, fire-rating mechanical rooms, and insulating damp basement framing.

Specialized Fire Retardant & Thermal Barriers
 

• Safety is non-negotiable. Many of our high-performance insulation products require specific fire protection to meet the Ontario Building Code.

• Fire-Rated Spray Foam: We offer specialized foam formulations with flame-retardant additives that slow the spread of fire.

• Thermal Barrier Coatings (DC315): When spray foam is left exposed in a basement or garage, it must be protected. We apply intumescent "fire paint" (DC315), which expands when exposed to heat to create a protective char layer, providing a certified 15-to-45-minute fire rating.

• Fire-Resistant Mineral Wool: Specifically used in "party walls" between semi-detached homes to ensure fire cannot travel between units.
